New Delhi: Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is likely to be launched this week as per media reports. Earlier there were reports that the device will be launched by the end of next month or beginning of June. Rumours also suggest, S4 Mini will sport a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display with 960x540p resolution and 256ppi pixel density. The Galaxy S4 Mini is expected to run on a 1.6GHz dual-core processor. Samsung Galaxy S4 mini will be available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants, as reports suggest. Reports have it that Samsung Galaxy S4 mini will be powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. As is famous with Samsung, Galaxy S4 mini might also get quick upgrade to Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. The device along with added features of S3 mini like Pop Up Play and S Voice will also have added camera functions including Sound and Shot and Dual Camera. The device will also be topped with TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 UI layer on top.

It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 might soon be getting a low-end sibling.                       The Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 S6500--codenamed Jenna--could make its debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, according to a  leaked promotional image  sent to GSMArena. The specs attached to the image shows some improvements over the original; the new device sports a bigger, 3.3-inch screen with higher resolution, a faster 800MHz processor, and 3GB of storage. Along with rounded corners, the device will feature the same 3MP camera and 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity as its predecessor. Another throwback is its operating system: the new smartphone will run  Android  2.3 Gingerbread. No word on a retail price, but the image reportedly includes a label that says "February 2012."                                             Samsung's new Galaxy Tab 2. Samsung has announced the follow-up to its 7-inch Galaxy Tab. Dubbed the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) , the 7-inch  tablet  sports  Android  4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and a 1GHz dual-core processor. The Galaxy Tab 2 will come with both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. On the software side, Samsung's upcoming tablet will ship with its Hub services, including Music Hub to access over 17 million tracks, and Readers Hub for acquiring e-books. The offering will also come with Video Hub, which Samsung says, will allow users to rent or buy over 1,000 films. The Galaxy Tab 2 will also become the first mobile device from Samsung to ship with its AllShare Play service. Liu Jun of Lenovo holding up the K800, Lenovo's first Intel-powered smartphone, at CES 2012. Intel's new chip for phones is surprising in many respects, but the biggest shocker is speed. The "Medfield" Atom Z2460 chip for smartphones,  announced at CES , handily beats some of the fastest phones on the market, review site Anandtech said in  this  post. Is this fast enough to be smartphone-market disruptive? Will battery life measure up? Only Lenovo and Motorola know for sure (Anandtech  thinks Medfield will be fine  on battery life). One thing is for certain, though: neither of those companies are signing up for Medfield out of pity, as Anand Shimpi points out. It's a rare  CES  for which most of the digital ink spilled is about computers and hardware, rather than giant televisions. But 2012 was just such a year, thanks to the never-ending drumbeat of Intel's ultrabook platform. Yes, ultrabooks again It seems like you couldn't walk more than a hundred steps across the velvety carpet of the CES show floor without running into a giant ULTRABOOK or WINDOWS 8 sign. The first official ultrabook-designated laptops (it's an Intel marketing term) arrived during the 2011 holiday season, but CES 2012 was a coming-out party for a host of new designs from nearly all manufacturers. Mooly Eden, the head of Intel's PC unit, shows off a concept ultrabook that has both a touch screen and keyboard at a press conference at CES. The Series 7 Gamer. No matter how much you prepare for a trade show like  CES , what you see on the floor never quite matches what news you get beforehand. In the case of Samsung, we had a chance to look at the new Samsung Series 9 and Series 5 Ultra ultrabook, but were surprised by quite a few intriguing laptops at Samsung's booth, which we should expect to see later this year. The Series 7 Gamer. The  Series 7 Gamer  is a big-boned, lights-and-flash gaming laptop, the antidote to ultrabooks. Units on the show floor came in bright yellow and red candy colors, and bright LED lights and strobing effects graced a number of the stylized controls. The Series 7 has a tuning wheel for game settings and a "gaming mode" button that transforms the system into an optimized gaming machine, complete with over-the-top sound effects.
